JVR grows up on the greatest of stages

Lauren Hart sings "God Bless America" in front of a group of servicemen and women.

Echoes of  “U-S-A!” chants were still ringing throughout the Wells Fargo Center long after the Philadelphia Flyers starting line-up was announced.

Even after Philadelphia police and firefighters were honored on the ice and as the combined voices of Lauren Hart and Kate Smith belted out the final verses of  “God Bless America,” shock waves were running up every single spine in the arena.

76ers — A Season Review

After the curtains closed for the 76ers’ season on Wednesday night, the players shuffled back to the locker room before boarding their final flight to Philly, as the Miami Heat immediately turned their attention to their impending Round 2 battle with the Boston Celtics.  As was the story of the series, the Sixers started hot, and played well enough to stay in the game until the end.

Roseman discusses Eagles draft day options

Howie Roseman, as usual, gave no real indication of where the Eagles might go at pick 23.

The 2011 NFL Draft is only one week away and the Eagles are finalizing their final draft boards to see who they might be picking to play in midnight green next season. The Eagles are one of the top teams in the NFL when it comes to scouting young talented for players to help contribute on the field. Last year 11 of the 13 draft choices from last year suited for at least one game. The Eagles are looking to continue their success building their team in the draft. They hold 10 picks, second most in the NFL. But sitting with the 23rd pick in the 1st round, what will the Eagles do?
