It’s a mystery not readily understood in the hockey world. You dominate scoring chances, put 40 shots on net, and you’re repeatedly shutout.

For the fifth time this season, the Flyers were shutout after getting 38 or more shots in this 1-0 loss to Atlanta.

In one of their most meaningful games in weeks, the Flyers stepped up and played one of their best games in weeks to put a stranglehold on their Atlantic Division lead with a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Sixers upend Bulls in Chicago, 97-85

Thaddeus Young had a team-high 21 points in the Sixers' win Monday night.

 

Looking to avoid their first three game slide since November, the 76ers were matched up with the top-level contending Chicago Bulls in the Windy City.  In their toughest showing all year, the Sixers (38-36) outdueled the Bulls (53-20) in a slugfest, 97-85.
