Interview: Dalembert’s agent says reaction was “mixed emotions”

The Sixers didn’t necessarily shock the Delaware Valley today when they announced the trade of their 6’11” center. In fact, people had been campaigning for Samuel Dalembert’s release for years. But when the news came across the wires today, it was still kind of hard to believe.

Dalembert has been an institution of sorts in Sixers baseketball. For the past eight seasons we have seen him in the wrong places, doing stupid things, running sometimes like a lost puppy. But we could never help but notice the tremendous talent Dalembert has and appreciate him for the incredible athlete he truly was.

But now the relationship with Philadelphia is over and Sammy is off to Sacramento in exchange for Andres Nocioni and Spencer Hawes. Dalembert’s agent Marc Cornstein spoke with me today to discuss his time in Philadelphia and what this trade means for Sammy.
