Interview: Scott Franzke from Clearwater

Managing Editor –

CLEARWATER, Fla. — It wasn’t the perfect weather for baseball today at Bright House Field. Thunderstorms pushed the start back two-hours. It made for a long day at the ballpark, but every second was pretty darn fun.

Spring Training was at its finest.

Before the game we caught up with the great play-by-play voice of the Phillies, Scott Franzke for some insight on this year’s edition of the Fightins. Scott talks about the Rule 5-er who has a good shot at making the club, the newest ace of the team and how he has looked, the incredible fan support in Clearwater among other topics.

It all went pretty smoothly, beside the fact that Larry Andersen’s flatulence was echoed through some holes in the booth to run wires around the mid-way point of the interview. Let’s just say LA’s the same old guy off the air.

Have a listen…
